While the question of whether Klay Thompson is the father of Bryce Baez remains, Bryce’s mother is being threatened on social media. I will not disclose the details of what she sent to our team, except to address these three things in this blog post.

The first one is Lizbeth does not want anything from Klay Thompson. Her main goal was to reconnect with her son. She has not had any contact with Klay since the adoption. She was a teenage single mother, and the pressures of raising a child and handling school got to her. The adoption further broke her. She never wanted to give up her baby, but for the chance at a better life, and the guidance she received at the time, she felt that she had to. Now that Bryce is back in her life, the love in her heart for him is almost ready to burst out of her.
The second thing I’d like to address is that Bryce was the one who put the search for his father out there. The details he initially shared on Tiktok months ago are what led to his mother finding him. He took that clip down because it accomplished its purpose. Also, they mutually agreed for the TikTok video to be shared, despite everyone’s advice not to. We saw how awkward their interaction was, and we did not want them to be ridiculed. However, he insisted that this was his truth, and frankly, no one else could tell him how to unpack the multiplicity of emotions he’s felt over the past two years, since finding out he was adopted right before coming to the United States.

Lastly, let’s just say that perhaps she is in fact trying to garner her 5 minutes of fame. I would hope that she gives me a 10% cut! Ha! While that would be incredibly generous of her, it is in fact reckless because it’s coming at the expense of a young man who was searching for his parents. Liz and Bryce have already completed paternity tests. There is only one missing link, Klay! So please, for the sake of my 10%, kindly refrain from threatening this woman’s life.
